Located in Southern Vermont's majestic Green Mountains

Description
Vermont's peaceful beauty is unique in the Northeast. It is a place where farm fields still roll right up to the edge of villages and where lofty mountains and crystal clear lakes are everyday companions. Vermont is un-crowded and serene, a place to renew yourself and have a great time doing it!

Located in Southern Vermont's majestic Green Mountains, Kassmel's Villa is an ideal year-round vacation destination. Spring is heralded each March when sap begins to run in the sugar maple trees. At the local sugarhouses, sap is boiled down to maple syrup. Later next month, mid-April, marks the start to Vermont's fishing season. Miles of sparkling waters become alive with fish. Anglers try their luck in the streams and lakes for native trout, salmon, bass, perch, pickerel and northern pike.

Sports enthusiast enjoy boat rentals, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and sailing on Lake Whitingham. Natural terrain with an abundance of wildlife provides hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, bird watching, camping, and hunting. Golf continues to be a three season favorite here with championship golf courses offering challenge and spectacular views!

Plan to arrive the end of September for the start to Vermont's fantastic fall foliage season which lasts well into October. It's a good time to drive the countryside to view the tapestry of warm colors, on your way to the many fine galleries and artisan's studios. With the abundance of antique shops, made-in-Vermont craft galleries, flea markets, and boutiques, you'll enjoy the trip as much as the destinations!

Skiing is, of course, synonymous with Vermont, as well it should be. But there's more to winter sports here than skiing. Long before Vermont pioneers started the sport and built legendary ski resorts such as Mount Snow, Stratton, Bromley and Killington, Vermonters went ice fishing, skating, snow shoeing and sledding. They created a winter tradition of outdoor recreation that is still found in Vermont. The wonderful diversity of its inns and lodges, restaurant cuisine and cafes, craft shops, country stores and activities make it the ideal state to discover winter.
